You took the step to get semi permanent lash extensions which was a great decision I must say. Now you want to do everything you possibly can to make them last between now and your retouch appointment. Here are some tips on how to care for your lash extensions so they look their best:
Clean your lashes regularly - I can't stress this enough! Using an oil free soap and water should not cause your lashes to shed prematurely. On a daily basis you should be washing your lashes to keep them free of oils and debris from natural elements.
Brush your lashes - Using a dry, clean mascara wand, gently brush through your lashes to keep them neat. This can be done as a part of your cleansing routine or anytime your lashes look or feel out of place.
Remove eye makeup carefully - You can still wear eyeshadow and eyeliner while wearing lash extensions. However, be sure to remove that makeup gently using an oil free makeup remover.
Oil is not your friend! - I tell all of my clients this after their first lash appointment. You just want to be really careful about getting oil into your lashes as it breaks down the bond of the adhesive that hold your lash extensions in place. If you like to use anti-aging serums or eye creams, that's ok. Just be sure to apply gently and away from your lash extensions.
