Weekend Lashes!

Check out these beautiful lashes I got a chance to work on this weekend!  This is a simple, classic set on short, fine natural lashes.  My client wanted a more natural look so I gave her just that.  

What I love about lash extensions is that no matter who you are and what you do, anyone can wear them.  Whether you want lashes that are undetectable and natural, or you want lash extensions that are lush and turn heads, there is something for everyone.

Eye Hygiene

It's important to keep my clients educated on how to keep your eyes clean while wearing lash extensions. Eye hygiene is an essential part of your daily routine and this should not be ignored while wearing lashes. Many people think that if they wash their lashes, it will make them fall out.  In fact, if you keep your lashes clean, it could extend the life of your lash extensions as natural oils can break down the adhesive that hold your lash extensions to your natural lashes.  

By not keeping up with eye hygiene, it can cause the following eye conditions:

• Stye- a red lump in the eyelid margin which can be very painful.  It's caused by an infection of the sebaceous glands at the base of the eyelashes.
• Blephartis - an inflammtion and irritation of the margins of the eyelids, due to an allergic, infectious, seborrheic, irratable or mixed reason.  It usually occurs in both eyes at the same time, and it is recurrent.

Can I use mascara on my lash extensions?

One question I get all of the time from my clients is if you can use mascara on your lash extensions.  The simple answer is yes however with lash extensions, why would you need to?  The purpose of lash extensions is to give you longer, fuller lashes without the need for mascara.  But for those of you that like the look of mascara (even on your lash extensions), the only mascara I recommend is by Belvada called Mascara Noir.  It is super easy to apply, goes on thin and has a really bold color that stands out.  Greatest part is that it's super easy to clean off and won't make your lash extensions come out prematurely.
